My 2018 Travel Plans and Ultimate Bucket List

When it comes to travelling, there are so many places that I would love to go to. I haven't been too adventurous with my travels in the past, and I've mostly stuck to Europe and a few popular places in America, so I'd like to start venturing to more exotic places. I'm actually taking my first solo trip to America this year, so I thought it would be the perfect time to share my plans for this trip, and other places I would like to go.

Here are my plans for this year, and a few goals for the years to come.

Thailand

This is the ultimate place on my bucket list and somewhere my husband and I would like to go to together without our daughter. We've heard great things about Thailand, and we have done a little bit of research on where we would like to go. We've currently been looking at Koh Sumui with Destination2.co.uk as they have some really great packages.

We are waiting until she is a little bit older before we take holidays without her, and we know she will love going to stay with her grandparents, who live in Wales. It's a chance for us to just be ourselves and spend some quality time together. I think every parent should have some special alone time!

Prague

We've been thinking of visiting Prague for a while to soak up the culture and of course the cheap beer. It's amazing how cheap a trip there is, and we are hoping to visit before the end of the year, probably around Christmas time. We both really love architecture and old buildings, so Prague ticks a lot of boxes for us. We know lots of people who have been before and they all have positive things to say about it.

Scotland

Somewhere a bit closer to home that we plan to visit this year is Scotland. Again we plan to do this around Christmas time so we can enjoy the Christmas Markets. We've been to Christmas Markets in Cardiff, Swansea and Birmingham and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The more videos I see of the markets in Scotland, the more I want to go and it's only a short plane or train journey to get there. It's somewhere we can take Elise to as well.

Los Angeles

My solo trip for this year is Los Angeles. LA is somewhere I have always wanted to travel to, but it isn't somewhere that my husband is that keen to travel to. That's why I've decided to take a solo trip there in June, mostly to attend Vidcon. I'm really interested in Youtube and the whole blogging and youtube community, so it is has always been something on my bucket list. My husband isn't interested in any of this stuff, so it just makes more sense for me to go alone. Plus my husband gets some quality time with our daughter too. It's a win win situation!

Paris

I think every parent wants to take their children to Disneyland and we are definitely looking forward to taking Elise there sometime soon. Elise turns three this year so we're going to start saving to take her next year. We want to share all the magic with her but she's a little on the short side so we need her to grow just a little bit before we go! Of course the ultimate dream and goal is to go to Disney World, and we plan to do this at some point at Christmas time. I think that will be so magical!

What are your travel plans this year? Have you ever taken a solo trip?
