4 GERM BUSTERS THAT EVERY MUM NEEDS

When it comes to having a toddler, messes are something that occur every day (or sometimes it feels like every minute!). Over the last couple of years, I've come to love certain products, and found that they really keep the germs at bay. I thought I would share with you my essential products for keeping the household as germ free as possible. It's mostly just a love story to Zoflora, which should be a staple of every home in the UK, if not the world!

GLOVES

I have a slight allergy to bleach, so gloves are very important when it comes to cleaning. I also hate touching raw meat, and so Vinyl gloves can come in very handy. It's so easy to spread germs if you do not use the correct products, and protection, and I got into the habit of using gloves for food preparation through my work as a care worker. It was important that we always wore gloves, like the Vinyl Gloves from Brosch when handling food as it is so easy to transfer germs from your hands to food if a lack of protection is in place. I like to use vinyl gloves for cleaning the bathroom as I have small hands and the regular gloves that you can pick up for cleaning (you know the bright yellow ones) are all too big for me. It also means that I have more control over what my hands are doing, and I can really scrub those toilets.

ZOFLORA

The product of dreams for any mother. This is a multi use product, that you can buy from Poundland (and many other places). You simply dilute the solution and it works as an antibacterial cleaner with around 1000 uses. We use it on our floor in the kitchen, the kitchen counters, the bathroom, and we even have a spray bottle of it for our furnishings. It makes the house smell AMAZING and helps to kill all those nasty germs lurking on every surface of your home. Zoflora really has changed my cleaning habits, and I always have a few diluted spray bottles scattered around the house so I can clean up any mess straight away.

HAND SANATISER

I never used to be one for hand sanitiser, but then I visited Bath and Bodyworks when we got married in Las Vegas and fell in love. I now have a bottle with me at all times. My favourite hand sanitisers are the Bath and Bodyworks ones, but you can pick up hand sanitiser practically anywhere. I also like the Soap and Glory one from Boots. This should be an essential for every changing bag, or mum's handbag as it isn't always possible to wash hands when out and about. The hand sanitiser will help kill as much bacteria lurking on those little hands as possible.

MILTON ANTI-BACTERIAL SURFACE WIPES

The Milton Anti-Bacterial surface wipes have always been my favourites for wiping surfaces when we are out and about. You never know when a highchair has last been cleaned, so having anti-bacterial wipes are a must.  I've tried a number of different wipes, and these have been my favourite. I also love the whole anti-bacterial range from Milton, and used their products for sanitising on the go when Elise was younger. I also really like their dummy sterilisers for on the go, and found these so helpful in the early days.

These are my top products for trying to keep germs at bay, especially with a young child around. It's so important to try and kill those nasty bacteria germs lurking around, in particular when food is involved. Brosch Direct have created a campaign all about the importance of wearing gloves when preparing food, and they are currently creating a magazine that looks at food hygiene, hand hygeine, types of germs and how to protect your hands. 1. Thanks for the information. Zoflora, my Mum used, and I think it is a great product. So is also used and appreciated within my own generation.
