ALL ABOUT THE HATCHIMALS GLITTER SALON PLAYSET
If your child is new to Hatchimals, the Glitter Salon has everything you need to get started. Here is what comes in the box:
1 Glitter Salon Playset
2 Hatchimals CollEGGtibles
1 Sheet of Glitter Foil Stickers
2 Bags of Glitter (Pink and Purple)
1 Bottle of Glue (With a handy brush attached to the lid)
1 Glitter Brush
9 Accessories for your Hatchimals
One of your Hatchimals is already hatched and waiting for you, whilst you also have a surprise Hatchimal to crack open. You do this by pressing on the egg to crack it. Elise needed a little bit of help with this, but she loves hatching them. As I mentioned, the new Royal Snowball Hatchimals also come with new accessories. This could be a crown, necklace, or an item such as a tea cup. You can use these with other Hatchimals in the range.
HOW TO USE THE HATCHIMALS GLITTER SALON
The playset is really simple to set up, and is pretty much a play straight out the box product. Here are the steps for adding glitter to your Hatchimal.
1. Sit your chosen Hatchimal in the chair, and use the included glue to place it where you would like the glitter to stick. I found that the brush was the perfect size for this, and the Hatchimal sat well in the seat.
2. Whilst waiting for the glue to dry a little bit (about a minute or so), add some glitter to the glitter chamber. It says around half a bag, but we found that we didn't need to add this much.
3. Twist the top off the glitter chamber, and place you Hatchimal inside.
4. Close the lid of the chamber by twisting it, and then push the button on the front to release the glitter!
5. Let your Hatchimal sit for a few minutes after spinning so that the glue can dry.
6. Use the small brush included to brush off any excess glitter
7. Accessorize your Hatchimal!
OUR THOUGHTS ON THE HATCHIMALS GLITTER SALON
This is a great little activity to do together, and Elise loved adding the glue and glitter to her Hatchimals. She also loved playing with the set when there was no glitter involved, and it is something that she will be able to play with alone (without the glitter). We did find it quite fiddly at times, and it did get a little bit messy, especially when cleaning the chamber, but Elise really enjoyed covering her Hatchimals with glitter. She was also pleased that you could easily wash the glitter off with soapy water as she wasn't a fan of getting glitter all over herself!
The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Glitter Salon Playset retails for £19.99 and I think this is a great price for it. Although your child may not want to play with the glitter all the time, the actual playset is great for imaginative play. Elise loves to just use the set without glitter, and use the dressing area to keep her Hatchimals still whilst she accessorizes them.
THE ROYAL SNOWBALL HATCHIMAL RANGE
There are over 50 new Hatchimals to collect in the Royal Snow Ball range and you get an accessory in every pack. You can buy these in single packs, as well as sets of 2, 5 and even more. We received a 5 set which retails for £9.99 and Elise loved discovering what accessories she had.
Does your little one collect Hatchimals? Or are they collecting anything else at the moment?
